Disappointed Lutheran!!

This Bible arrived in a damaged envelope and the Bible itself has folded corners on front and back covers. Some of the front pages of the book are also folded. I'm very unhappy with the damage. Also, the print of the main Bible verses are VERY small and the supporting text is smaller yet. I really cannot keep this book.

Alright, I'm not going to avoid coffee, but this book will show me how to still have whiter teeth. Don't get this book confused with all of the so-called home remedies on video sharing sites, this book is the real deal. It is very well written and the instructions are so easy to follow, you even get pictures! The advice in this book is priceless, how can you put a price on a whiter, brighter smile?

Great book format for early young readers.

Great book format for kids who just start to read on their own. I like very much the format of a few lines a text and a full picture page, because kids make use of all the information they see to try to make out the words or follow the story. At around 40 pages this books is perfectly sized to hold the attention and reward the read session of a Level 1/2 new reader. I love the format and the size - perfect for small hands.

A Must Have for Panzer Enthusiasts!

After setting impossibly high standards for his first volume, Scott has met or exceeded them in all aspects of his second volume, which concentrates on field gray, denim and other uniforms worn by German armored vehicle crewmen (and, in some cases, wannabes) in World War II. The period pictures are extraordinary and the images taken of uniform and headgear examples from advanced collections around the world illustrate the topic in extraordinary detail. Printed in full color throughout and printed on glossy stock paper, the book is an example for those who wish to publish titles on uniform collecting. I can hardly wait for the remaining two volumes on the topic!

The best.

Scott Pritchett and Schiffer Publishing are setting new standards for military history books. I did not realize how many Schiffer books I had in my library till I really got to counting. What more can one say other than to confirm what has already been said. These books are the best: printing, photos, text, hardbound, I just honestly don't know how they can get better. The price is high but not unreasonable for such quality. I am not that interested in the panzer wraps but these books are of such great quality and clear pictures, I had to have this set for my collection. Even though this is not my area of interest, I would not hesitate to buy these books again and highly recommend them.

A very good book, lots of useful tips

As the title suggests, this is a volume of 37 habits that can be applied to make you smarter. The author's central premise is that smart people are smart not because they were born that way, but because they practice and apply smart habits that enable them to learn and accomplish things more efficiently. At about 70 pages, this book makes for a quick read and can be finished in one sitting. But don't be fooled by its length, there is a wealth of useful information contained in these pages. The book is organized into several sections that group the habits into what functions they affect (learning new things, challenging yourself, etc.). The Kindle edition is especially useful because it contains direct links to various web resources such as online courses, reference websites, etc.

In addition to explaining the reasons why each habit is "smart", the author also provides a list of suggestions for how to apply them. For examples, there are links to specific games that are known to improve thinking and memory skills. The book also contains many examples from the author's own experiences for how to apply certain habits.

This is definitely a worthwhile book to keep around for reference, especially given the low price.

This book is a very useful, easy-to-read collection of great ideas and suggestions to make it simple to add worthwhile habits to help make your brain work better. In addition, the author includes online references for further reading which is very helpful. This book will make a handy reference to re-read and use as a refresher course to continue applying good "brain" habits in the future.
